All-Babes Cineleisure Dance Battle Finals 2019
The 9th season of the All-Babes Cineleisure Dance (ABCD) Battle brought together some of Singapore’s and the region’s best dancers for an epic battle for the coveted title of dance champion and winner of the biggest prize till date.
The Finalists were pitted against one another in intense knock-out dance battle rounds where famed dancer and co-founder of dance studio Fly Studios, Zacc Milne from Dublin was on the esteemed panel of judges. The knock-out rounds were brutal and nail-biting, but for those in the audience, it was a memorable and extremely satisfying experience. It was non stop action till the Champions of each dance category emerged after rounds of dance battles. The dancers who made it to the next round had minutes to rest before they were up again, against their next opponent!
In the Final battle rounds of the Solo Category, twenty three year old Rocio dazzled us with her killer moves to beat Cat Lady, a tremendously strong opponent. It was so close that the Judges had to request for an additional round before they could decide on the winner! Having taken part in several past ABCD competitions, this is Rocio’s first title win. Fun fact: Rocio was in the audience last year and won the half-time audience dance-off segment! In the All-Boys Group Category, duo Andro put up a great fight but eventually lost to FKBN, consisting of four dancers who interestingly joined the 2017 competition as separate groups of two. In the All-Babes Group Category, The Debutante (2017’s Champion) went up against G.O (2018’s Champion). It was an intense battle between the two Champs, both with incredible versatility and sick moves. After 3 rounds of battle, The Debutante emerged the Champion of 2019! Congratulations to all Champs and job well done to the Runner-Ups and all Finalists!
The audience were also treated to a spectacular showcase by Kayte Willis and a showstopping performance by Zacc Milne! Kayte, our returning Judge opened the event with a bang while Zacc, our Guest Judge from Ireland closed the event in absolute style.
