TASTY DIY SMOOTHIES TO KICK START YOUR DAY
Who doesn’t love a smoothie to kick start your day? Be it breakfast, dessert or as an energy drink, smoothies are undoubtedly the yummiest tasting healthy food ever.
What’s better, they’re quick to make. With a blender (and juicer for some recipes) throw in the ingredients and voila, your power-packed glass of delicious goodness is ready.

LOW FAT BREAKFAST SMOOTHIE
(Serves 2)
INGREDIENTS
- 1 banana
- 1 tablespoon oats
- 80g soft fruit of your choice (strawberries, blueberries, mango etc.)
- 150ml milk
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
STRAWBERRY GREEN SMOOTHIE
(Serves 2)
- 160g ripe strawberries
- 160g baby spinach
- 1 small avocado
- 150ml yogurt
- 2 small oranges, juiced
SUNSHINE SMOOTHIE
(Serves 3)
- 500ml carrot juice
- 200g pineapple
- 2 bananas
- Small piece of ginger
- 20g cashew nuts
- 1 lime, juiced
SUPER BERRY SMOOTHIE
(Serves 4)
- 450g frozen berry
- 450g strawberry yoghurt
- 100ml milk
- 25g oats
- 2 teaspoon honey (optional)
VITAMIN BOOSTER SMOOTHIE
(Serves 1)
- 1 orange
- 1 large carrot
- 2 sticks celery
- 50g mango
- 200ml water
HEART HELPER SMOOTHIE
(Serves 1)
- 2 small beetroots
- 1 small apple
- 50g blueberry
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 300ml water
